students are saying about Get in Shape Boot Camp

Shannon H.
Hello everyone, My name is Shannon – I am a Company
Commander with Get in Shape Boot Camp. When I started Boot Camp
I weighed 290lbs, now I weight approximately 220lbs. I was
tired of everyone calling me FAT, BIG MAN, and most of all I was
tired of people lying to me saying “Oh, you’re not that big,
it’s just your stomach”. I was miserable, but now I am in
shape, I look and feel good and receive compliments all the
time. I tried every diet plan on earth, Slim Fast, Slim Slow,
40 day fast, and every pill on the market, nothing seemed to
work long term. I worked out in the gym and tried everything,
but it just didn’t work fast enough. Boot Camp was the program
that was right for me, and now I encourage everyone that really
wants to get in shape and burn that nasty fat, ENROLL TODAY –
STOP MAKING EXCUSES AND PROCRASTINATING. I wore a size 42 pants
and a 4XL shirt, now I wear a size 34 pants and can comfortably
wear an XL shirt. I started Boot Camp in September 2006 and I
have managed to stay in shape and keep the weight off. When you
enroll and follow the meal program and just simply show up
everyday and try, you will see drastic changes in a short period
of time – I did and you can too.

Hi Shannon,
Just
wanted to say thank you for seeing in me the potential to assist
you in helping other reach their goal. Boot Camp has been great
for me. Each day gets better and better. When I
started on my journey to fitness 8 months ago I never thought
that I would make it through the four weeks let along make it
this far. This is truly a great experience. Until
a few weeks ago, I've always refused to buy new clothes
when starting a program because I thought that I would re-gain
what I lost and then have nothing to wear so having this thought
in mind, I was wearing my same old clothes and using pins
to keep them from falling down. Crazy I know.
Finally, with spring break approaching I went shopping for
the first time since I started boot camp . I set off on my
shopping journey with the attitude that I would never find
anything to fit right. I went in the store and of course I
picked up my old size in everything, went to the dressing room
to try on and to my amazement they were too big, Duh, of course
right. I have been apart of this great boot camp.
Anyway, to my astonishment I have gone down 4 pant sizes
(from and 8 to a 4 and still dropping). I'm
lean and where there was once fat it is now muscle.
I know I should have known this but I never took a good look in
the mirror because I know what I look like. I know I wasn't
that huge when I started but I did need quite
a bit of work. I was not fit or toned and I had stuff that
should not have been in certain places but now thanks to you and
your vision according to my husband, family and friends I look
great or should I say I look great naked :) and for that I thank
you. I could not have done any of this without you and the
other boot campers.
Thanks Shannon you are an
inspiration to us all and because of your hard work and genuine
desire to help others look and feel their best I am proud to say
I know you.

My
name is Lachon Graybill I tried the workout at the Conyers
boot camp back in October 08 on a Saturday and was thoroughly
impressed. I vowed to Cindy I would return as a member
after many phone calls and emails I was finally able to
coordinate my start date in January. I didn’t
have a lot to loose but I really wanted to focus on getting in
shape for the New Year. I guess you can say my new
year’s resolution. My first day we hit the
ground running I had a flashback of some of my old Army
workouts and was completed sold on this. I wasn’t in
love with the 6:00am start time and believe me it was cold as
heck some days in the teens but the squad over in Conyers
stuck it out. I know we aren’t suppose to get on
the scale, but in the first 2 weeks I lost 5lbs and my goal
was only to loose 10lbs total (Love it).
Cindy’s personality is great and motivating she works with
everyone with the same level enthusiasm. We’ve
had a few set backs because of the cold temperatures but our
small group has prevailed and I am so pumped each day I leave
boot camp looking forward to the next encounter with my Drill
Sergeant oops my Boot Camp instructor.
I can tell the difference in my total body
appearance in the 3 short weeks; my muscles are really
starting to tone up. I will be ready for the
summer before you know it sun dresses and shorts galore.
We worked out this morning on abs and I feel mine
still burning. LOVE IT LOVE IT WANT MORE OF IT.

My
name is Cheryl (CHILL for all bikers); I joined boot camp in
September 2008 and set a goal for six months. I was wearing a
dress size 16 and now 5 months later I am wearing a dress size
10. A couple months after I started boot camp, my husband
joined. We have enjoyed working out together at boot camp. I
have noticed a change in my attitude and my marriage has grown
stronger. I encourage everyone to join and bring their spouse.
For my reward, my husband bought me a new car. Boot Camp is a
life changing experience, join today and set your goals and
see the AMAZING results.

Hi Shannon
,
Over a period of 15 years I had gone from really fit athlete
to an overweight couch potato, I was miserable, tired, and
unhappy with my body – until I met you in October.
I can not say THANK YOU enough!
With your help and guidance I have become a much more
fit individual! You
have helped me remember how much fun working out can be, and
have started me on a journey to get back to the fit athlete
that I once was!! The
pain has all been worth it – you have helped me to transform
my body – losing 35 pounds, 23 inches, and going from 31.7%
to 19.1% body fat – ALL IN 3 MONTHS! I
have more energy and it’s making a huge difference in my
life. It’s
truly unbelievable!!
My family, friends and colleagues have been
amazed at the dramatic changes in such a short time.
I have gone from buying plus size clothing to the
‘regular’ sizes - I was so proud when I was finally able
to do that again!
The
best part about boot camp is that the workouts are always
challenging, fun, and different every day.
The group really allows me to push further that I would
have gone on my own and never allows me to quit!
The workout atmosphere that you facilitate is
encouraging and enjoyable – our early morning group of folks
are so energetic at
5:45 a.m.
that it makes the roll out of bed bearable.
The eating plan has really been a blessing to allow not
only me, but my whole family to build a healthier eating
habit. Thanks to
you I am setting a great fitness example for my children that
I hope they will carry on as they grow up.
I’ll see you again next month.
THANK YOU!!!

I definitely want to share my
testimonial...I turned 30 in 2008 and, like so many of us, had
let the years of eating bad, drinking,
and staying out late catch up to me. I woke up every day frustrated with the fact that I had jumped up
yet another pant size, and really just disgusted with the way
I looked and felt. I have tried to"change my
lifestyle", not just my diet, numerous times but to no
avail. I knew that I needed a group environment and a
situation where I had made a commitment
to show up. I started the first boot camp at Piedmont Park in
November 2008. I really, really dislike mornings (let alone
the cold!) but amazingly, a part of me found so much
exhilaration running through the park at 6:00 am, looking at
the Atlanta skyline and breathing in the crisp air. By the end
of the 4 weeks, I had improved my mile by 1:17 and was running
2.5 miles through my neighborhood (which I NEVER thought I
could do!). I have just completed my second boot camp and
cannot tell you how great I feel! The trainers are so positive
and encouraging, they push you to be better! Shannon Ashman is
so much fun to exercise with, and he takes the time to work
one-on-one to help with form and execution. I will say that if
you are thinking of joining, you HAVE to make the commitment
to yourself first, but once you do, this boot camp can take
you to levels you never thought possible. The thing I love
most is that everyday is different, it is so much better than
the mundane gym scene, and the possibilities are endless when
exercising outside. I am proud to say that I have officially
just worn my old size 6 jeans for the first time in a long
time! I will never forget how I felt looking at myself in a
mirror before I decided to make this change. The difference in
my self confidence now is night and day. And although it is
still not easy for me to push myself to eat healthy and
exercise, this boot camp helps me battle that. The alternative
is just not an option! And that is why I am signing up for Get
in Shape Boot Camp yet again!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!

Hi
Shannon,
I know this is random, but I have a testimonial
for boot camp already. I'm serious. I'm joining up until
the end of the year at least!
This is for everyone who is considering making the
commitment but on the fence. I have only been in boot
camp for a week and I'm already addicted. Boot camp is tough.
There is no two ways about it. But the trainers are
wonderful. Beyond wonderful. If you are considering the
commitment, go ahead and make the investment in yourself.
If you are tight on cash - like me! - do it anyway. It
is SOOOO worth it. I don't know why I was on the
fence! I actually look forward to getting up every morning and
working out. If you can't run. Join boot camp. If
you run out of breath carrying groceries to the door, join boot
camp. If you used to be a track star or some other Olympic
athlete but you can't run a mile anymore, join boot camp.
After one week - I can run further without losing
breath. Now don't get it twisted - boot camp is about
more than running - but there is some running everyday.
Do the best of your ability - you'll feel good about yourself.
The BEST part of boot camp is that there are other "boot
camps" not affiliated with Get in Shape Boot Camp that
are in the park at the same time. You'll notice that you
are having fun and they are standing around. These
trainers actually workout WITH you instead of just yelling
directions. They CONSTANTLY give you encouragement to push you
harder and don't make you feel like a couch potato. And
most of all they are not annoying like the trainers at
the gym. I have reached milestones that I would have
NEVER done without boot camp. I mean, I NEVER ran in my
life. But now, I'm scheduling time to go running. Even
if you think you are fat, get your doctor's permission and
move your butt! Seriously.
So, if you are on the fence about boot camp, I say get your
money up and get to the park! If you don't believe me
give me a call - I'm not getting paid, I'm just so serious
about boot camp.
I love to eat and it showed. I was overweight and
in pretty poor health. My doctor said that my blood
pressure was high and my cholesterol was through the
roof. In 4 months at bootcamp i have lost 25 lbs. and my
blood pressure is back into the normal range again. In
addition, my cholesterol has dropped over 70 points. You
don't just get a great workout, you get eating instructions,
health advise and lots of encouragement along the way. I
am more energetic and in the best shape i have been in since
college. Imagine if they could make a pill to lower
cholesterol, blood pressure, help you lose weight and prevent
diabetes. There is one...its not a pill, but its
exercise and eating right.
Its a great deal too (5-6 days a week of personal training for
only a few dollars a day). The workouts are never the
same so you don't get bored and you workout with other people
so you have fun and are less likely to drop out. Getting
to see others develop and get in shape along the way is great
but hearing others notice how much weight you have lost and
complimenting your muscles is fantastic!

Hello my name is Sandra and I had heard of people talking about
Fitness Boot Camp so wanting to take better care of my health I
signed up for Get In Shape Boot Camp and I’m loving it. I joined
in early January 08 and the results are amazing, I have changed
my eating habits, my daily energy level has gone up and I even
sleep much better. I lost inches in just three weeks, dropped
two pant sizes and I get compliments from my friends and
co-workers all the time about how great I look. I look forward
to working out in the mornings and will continue to make
exercise a part of my daily life. Get In Shape Boot Camp has
changed my life.
Thanks Shannon, keep up the good work.

Chereda Miller- Shannon, THANK YOU! Boot
camp has changed my LIFE! Prior to boot camp I would exercise
occasionally but could never keep my routine going. I stayed at
about the same fitness level. I wanted to hire a personal
trainer but couldn't afford it. With your boot camp, I was able
to have a consistent routine, improve my fitness level, have
personalized assistance with my progress, and it was even fun! I
was never a morning person but after getting used to getting up
early, I found that it is quite exhilarating. I improved my
fitness test mile by 3:30 minutes! I've never run a mile in 8
minutes, but now I can! I found the instructors personal
attention and concern for my improvement and meeting my goals
met my personal training needs as well. Being outside is also a
very rewarding experience as well. I am now officially addicted
to Boot Camp! I can't live without boot camp. I have never been
in better shape in my life! My body looks great and most
important, I feel so much better. I have so much energy I don't
even have to drink coffee anymore! Thanks for your commitment to
fitness! You are a great instructor!

My name is Jayson Wells, and I am a professional basketball
player in Europe. I heard about Get in Shape Boot Camp from my
next door neighbor Chereda Miller, who finally convinced my wife
Angel into going. My wife however is on a little bit of a
different mission, she is actually trying to gain weight. So
about 2 weeks into it I took over for her. It was right before I
had to go back overseas to start preseason training, so I
figured what the heck!! I absolutely loved my 2 weeks, it was
different everyday and the constant heart rate being up is so
much better for my sport than just going running. Long story
short I felt great going into my season and I can't wait to get
back. I would even be interested in being a trainer. Thanks, see
you in June Shannon!!

Dear Shannon,
Thank you so much for being a good boot camp leader!!
Initially, I signed up for the boot camp as a quick fix to reach
a short term goal. My physical results were amazing! I couldn’t
believe how quickly I started seeing results. I lost 7% of my
body fat and several inches. I’m now down 2 pant sizes. The best
part is that I’ve never felt better in my life.
I’ve realized that this is not a short term fix for me and I
intend to maintain the boot camp every month. The
accountability, encouragement and camaraderie have been
essential to my success.
Thank you so much!
Sincerely,
Sheila Cocchi

My name is Lynn, I want to say thanks a million to Get in
Shape Boot Camp. When I started boot camp my weight was 142
lbs. I have lost 14 lbs total since enrolling in boot camp.
This was my first workout program, and it was very challenging
for me. Some days I wanted to quit, and never go back, but the
trainers believed in me and encourage me to keep coming. They
encouraged me and told me that I can do it and I did. You
should see me now – SUPER FINE and not scared to show it. I feel
great and look great and the compliments keep me smiling. I
highly recommend everyone to enroll in Get in Shape Boot Camp
NOW.

I have been working out for many years trying to accomplish
toned and slimmer thighs. I lift weights as well as aerobics,
running, other types of cardio, and do my best in eating
healthier. As a result of my constant exercising and watching
what I eat, I am in very good shape. However, I was disappointed
because I was not seeing the results that I was working hard to
achieve. I could not understand because I was working out a lot;
sometimes twice a day. A friend suggested a bootcamp. Since I
had been in the military before, I thought it would be a great
idea. I signed up for a six week boot camp on the South side of
town and was very disappointed at the end because the intensity
didn't meet my needs. I was then referred to Shannon's bootcamp
- I was skeptical because I don't have money to throw away if
I'm not seeing results. He let me sample his Saturday classes
before committing. I signed up for his September 4-week session;
I was very satisfied with his bootcamp. Every day was a
different day, thus, preventing boredom. He held me accountable
for all exercises and helped me design meals that would assist
me with what I was trying to achieve. I found myself more
energized throughhout the day whereas before everyday around a
certain time I would crash. At the end of the 4-week bootcamp, I
noticed a significant difference in my body. I'd lost inches
throughout my body and noticed the development of my quad and
calf muscles. I love his bootcamp so much that I signed up for
October's 4-week session. Clearly I'm am very happy with my
results and I would recommend his bootcamp to anyone that has
been working out for years or someone that has just started
working out.
